Word has it...
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Narbonne,

In '73 or '74 my younger brother was pitching for an Oriole team in the Rookie League and travel took them to Oregon where they played an independant team made up of people who had showed up to a cattle call for an absolute last chance to make a buck out of baseball. One of the independant team's sore armed hurlers. playing under a near alias and minus a few critical years in age was ex-Narbonne starting pitcher Charles Beech.... a 1965 graduate. My brother went on to a long lucrative career as a MLB head trainer after leaving the playing ranks and I was impressed with his detective work of over 30 years ago because at best he barely knew Charley. He now is a trainer for LPGA and Seniors PGA. He lives well. I contacted my wonderful brother recently and asked him if he wouldn't reaffirm the details of the story. He would not. He has a mind so full of wonderous memories and stories of baseball games and players and parks and groupies that his great mind's only Narbonne baseball link is that he had once no-hit them in a high school game. I ask you.
