* Did you know that only that there are only 43 men who fought in Vietnam AND received the Medal of Honor AND are still alive? Think about it: Approximately 2.5 million Americans served in Vietnam. Approximately 3000 service men and women were awarded this medal for Vietnam alone, and about 1500 were awarded "posthumously". A total of 128 Medals of Honor are accredited to California.
